High Horizon
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective Date: 2026-06-02 (confirmed on publication) · Operated by K-Flow Labs
1. Scope
This policy applies to all lessons and prepaid packages purchased on the High Horizon platform (the "Service") operated by K-Flow Labs (the "Company").
| Product | Unit Price | Payment |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1 Private Lesson | ₩40,000 / session | Toss (KR) / Eximbay·PayPal (international) |
| Group Lesson | ₩20,000 / session | Toss (KR) / Eximbay·PayPal (international) |
| Prepaid Package | Bundled sessions | Toss (KR) / Eximbay·PayPal (international) |
2. Individual Lesson Cancellation
| Cancellation Timing | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 24 hours before lesson start | Full refund or credit (Student's choice) |
| Within 24 hours of lesson start | No refund |
| No-show | No refund |
The statutory withdrawal right under E-Commerce Law (Article 4) takes precedence over the 24-hour rule where applicable. Credits expire one (1) year from the conversion date. Cancellations must be submitted via the platform's booking management screen or by email to [email protected].
3. Prepaid Package Refund
Prepaid package refunds follow the tuition refund standards under the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Private Teaching Institutes, Article 18.
Single-month packages
| Point of Refund Request | Refund Amount |
|---|---|
| Before any lessons commence | Full amount paid |
| Before 1/3 of total lessons completed | 2/3 of amount paid |
| Before 1/2 of total lessons completed | 1/2 of amount paid |
| After 1/2 of total lessons completed | No refund |
Actual refund — the greater of two amounts: the statutory amount under the table above (for multi-month packages: un-commenced months in full plus the tiered table on the current month's portion), or the pro-rata amount for unattended lessons (amount paid × unattended ÷ total sessions). Example: 3-month package (12 × 1:1 sessions, total ₩480,000), cancelled after 3 sessions — statutory ₩320,000 vs pro-rata ₩360,000 → ₩360,000 refunded (the greater).
For partial refunds, the per-session price (1:1 ₩40,000 / group ₩20,000) for completed sessions is deducted from the package price; the remainder is refunded.
For prepaid course packages (recurring sessions on the selected weekday pattern — weekdays, weekends, Mon/Wed/Fri, or Tue/Thu/Sat), the same standard applies on a per-session basis, and the Enforcement Decree of the Lifelong Education Act, attached Table 3 (refund by remaining sessions) is also referenced for adult online live courses. The actual refund is the amount most favorable to the Student among: remaining-session prorata, the statutory tuition tables above, and the E-Commerce withdrawal rule (Article 4). "Elapsed sessions" are counted by the scheduled lesson dates regardless of attendance; sessions cancelled by the Teacher or the Company are excluded from elapsed sessions.
4. Right of Withdrawal (E-Commerce Law)
Before service commencement: Students may withdraw within 7 days of payment. If the Company cannot demonstrate the service had commenced, a full refund will be issued. This right takes precedence over any other provision in this policy.
After service commencement: As video tutoring is a service/digital content whose nature may restrict withdrawal once partially consumed (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Article 17(2)(5)), Students will be notified of this restriction at the payment screen. Any contractual exclusion of the statutory withdrawal right that is contrary to law is void.
Where the statutory withdrawal right and Articles 2–3 conflict, the standard more favorable to the Student applies.
5. Teacher-Side Cancellation
If a lesson is cancelled due to the Teacher (an independent contractor based in the Philippines) being unavailable, or if the Teacher does not show for a confirmed future session, the Student receives:
- Make-up voucher — one additional session with the same Teacher at no charge, valid for 30 days from the cancellation date. The voucher is issued automatically and can be redeemed on the Teacher's profile page for any of that Teacher's open future slots.
- Per-session refund — a refund of the session fee to the original payment method, if the Student prefers a refund instead of the make-up session.
The Student will be notified by email and web notification when the Teacher cancels. The make-up voucher is tied to the same Teacher and cannot be transferred to a different teacher. The Student may contact support to request a refund in lieu of the make-up voucher.
6. Refund Method & Processing Time
| Payment Method | Refund Route | Company Initiates Within | PG Settlement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toss (domestic) | Original card or bank account | 3 business days | 3–7 business days |
| Eximbay / PayPal (international) | Original card | 3 business days | 5–10 business days |
Exchange rate notice: Refunds are calculated in KRW. The amount received may differ from the original charged amount due to exchange rates and card issuer fees at the time of processing. The Company is not liable for differences arising from exchange rate fluctuations. Refunds will not be issued to a payment method other than the original.
7. How to Request a Refund
