Why High Horizon

Students choose you, not a timetable

A marketplace where the teacher comes first, not the timetable. Your profile is your storefront.

You

A teacher-first marketplace

Students look at your profile, intro video and curriculum, then enrol with you. You design the content and how each lesson runs — there is no platform-standard course.

Focus

Focus only on teaching

The platform runs booking, payment processing, student support and disputes, and marketing. Lesson prices are set uniformly by the platform so they stay simple and consistent for students.

60%

Transparent payouts

Your share is 60% of net revenue after operating costs. Payouts run monthly, and you can review the per-lesson statement yourself in the teacher console.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of contract will I work under?

Teachers are independent contractors providing their own lessons and courses. High Horizon operates the website, scheduling, payments and student support as a booking-and-payment intermediary; the lesson content belongs to the teacher.

What format do lessons take?

Every lesson runs for 50 minutes in the platform's video classroom, either 1:1 or in a small group of up to 4. There are two products: single lessons, and short courses under 30 days and 30 hours with a curriculum you write yourself (no auto-renewal).

How is my pay settled?

Your share is 60% of net revenue after operating costs, settled monthly. A statement with per-lesson detail is available in the console.

Who sets the schedule?

You decide which days and times to open and which courses run on which weekday patterns. Lesson prices are set by the platform so they stay simple and consistent for students.

What happens if I can't teach a lesson?

There are no substitute teachers. If you cancel as early as possible, the student receives one make-up credit with you (valid 30 days), or a partial refund for that session if they prefer — because what they chose was you and your curriculum.
